24 hours. That's the same amount of time we all get in a day. Why is how you spend your day any of life's business, and not just yours ? You determine your life based on how you spend your time daily. Hence, the business of life goes on depending on how you fill this space of 24 hours.
Habits and Routine
Some of us struggle making time for ourselves and our families because we are so caught up with our routines and responsibilities. Some of us find it challenging to maintain a routine. But what really matters here? Are your intentions disciplined? Our habits influence our routine, and as we are all aware, we are creatures of habit. Are our physical and mental habits healthy, or are they limiting us. Answering this to ourselves first, is a good place to begin. Bring into your awareness what are you doing in the present that is bringing you productivity and growth, and what habits limit us from creating and manifesting a better way of life.
Every Second Matters
Success, happiness, confidence, social balance, healthy boundaries, are all seeds that flower in time that is influenced by our actions. And every second is a seed that is an un-manifested flower. The flower is there but are you in the habit of watering each seed when that seed requires watering.
How you begin your day sets a bar!
Starting your day with the right kind of activity sets a certain energy level wherein you're motivated and driven to making your day better than it already is. Personal Tip: You may try starting your day off by setting an intention for your day without attaching any expectations towards its outcome. What do you intend on achieving today? Remember it's okay to celebrate the little things. Even setting the intention of decluttering your room and personal space and applying that action into your day is an achievement as it increases and opens more room for productivity.
Are you juggling too much?
Do you register your breathing currently? Or, are you too caught up with mindlessly clicking away at the keys on the board. It is understandable that sometimes we can work ourselves to the bone but physical and mental rest is NECESSARY! Calling yourself back to your own space brings a sense of grounding and stability. Not only do you deserve a little time out but you learn to build healthy boundaries between what is work and what is personal. System overloads lead to physical burnouts and emotional vagueness. Spend time cultivating healthy boundaries by taking time to slow down and doing activities that you enjoy. To be in your peace, try to bring your peace.
The essence of your solitude
This can be a magical thing. The time we spend with ourselves is just as important, if not more. Time spent in your own company allows you to re-center and strengthen the relationship we have with ourselves. The quality of how we spend our time alone makes a difference. As fun as Netflix and chill is, increasing our mindfulness serves better purpose. Discovering who we are within opens a whole new world of creation. YOUR CREATIVITY! That world could just be sitting... watching TV OR! Doing something that brings you a stronger sense of independence, self-growth and personal fulfilment. Meditate, read, exercise, paint, journal. Be with yourself! You should be able to enjoy your own company.
So, Hey! How was your day?
Ending your day is just as important as starting it off. Except it ends on a lighter note, usually. A good night's sleep influences how we function the next day and the quality of your waking life. Rest is what heals our body and restores our brain chemicals. Cortisol - The stress hormone, is what keeps us active during the day but at the end of our day it drops. Although, factors such as technology, amount of exposure to light in the surrounding environment or a restless environment can trigger and increase the cortisol levels and causes us to lose sleep and rest which could lead to a burnout the following day. Meditation amongst other practices that soothe the mind and relax the body are great ways to lower our cortisol levels and end things on a lighter note.
Takeaway Message
Personal Tip: Doing a little revision on the things you're grateful for doing or experiencing that day goes a long way. Even the seconds we spend feeling gratitude can make our day better. Because, every second is a seed that is an un-manifested flower. The flower will always be there. But it is you who creates the discipline of watering that seed when watering is required.
